Associate professor in the Department of Applied Economics, University of Valencia. PhD in Economy (2011). José Luís Moreno Becerra award for the best doctoral thesis in Economics of Education (Association of Education Economics). Has been advisor at the Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNESCO), the Prometeo program of the Equator government (2014-2015) and the Spending Review Program of European Commission for Spain (AIReF, 2018-2019). Has realized some academic visiting at the University del Atlántico (Barranquilla, Colombia, 2010); at the Fundaçao Joao Pinheiro (Governo de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil, 2010 and 2011); at the National University of Mar del Plata (Mar del Plata, Argentina, 2012), at the Danish National Centre for Social Research (Copenhagen, Denmark, 2013), the Secular University Eloy Alfaro de Manabí (Manta, Equator, 2014) and the Federal Fluminense University (Río de Janeiro, Brazil, 2017). Moreover, he has participated in different competitive research projects (funding by regional, national and international institutions). Finally, has more than 60 publications on indexed journals, books and chapters of books.
